for every water pump I've had replaced, I'd have a few buck s for dinner ;) Those go all the time, and sometimes if it's been a while since the last one (which I *think* means 30,000 miles or more, but check on this) and you're doing work on the engine (not just the surrounding bits, but gaskets and pistons and so forth) it often makes sense to replace them prophylactically. Heh, heh.
cause it means they remember you, as somethiung other than a PITA. which means when you need {$unobtaniumpart} at 5 PM on a friday, they'll do *something* to help you out.
If memory serves, the water pump, the timing belts, and a couple of other things are REALLY deep in the innards of most cars. You might want to consider having your timing belt changed while they are in there. It's expensive to get to where you *can* replace the water pump and the timing belt, but once you're there, they are both really cheap to do.
Yesterday after labrown's 3rd towing to the shop... and however many driving the car THERE... in the past 6 months, I told him they should give him a frequent customer discount... i didn't think that anyone would really do it... that's sad.
while feeling your pain...and truly i do, i'm sort of chuffed that i was correct in my diagnosis. sad, isn't it? i know guns and cars...(and music). no wonder i can't get find a man in raleigh. maybe i should just go back to halifax county and look for one with most of his own teeth.
If I had a nickel...
