Is it a bad sign when the shop gives you a 10% discount for being 'a good customer'?

Heh. Yeah, the shop mgr knows I'm a student, so he said he called around for a refurb pump, and the only one he could find in the area was at a junk yard, the condition of which was described as "Eh, it'll work." He suggested a new one, which they had in stock. (Yeah, he could be yanking me, but he's been good in the past.)

Turns out the thing is already done, and ready to pick up.
