Sometimes I hate it when I'm right.

Bone growth, probably tumor. 70% chance Squamous Cell Cancer (SCC), which essentially means "try and keep her comfortable while it eats her head from the inside out", 20% chance of fibrosarcoma, wherein surgery/radiation *might* buy her a year or two, 10% random other. There is a very, very slim chance that it is 'merely' an incredibly localized, severe bone marrow infection that destroyed the bone into a pulpy mass, but it's highly unlikely at this point.
In any case, not what I wanted to hear.

Date: 2006-01-11 05:48 am (UTC)You've been on my mind recently. When I was cleaning the house recently, I found the note which kickaha left for me when he went to coffee at Whole Foods with you the day Loki died. :( It has been on my dry erase board ever since. I am amazed that so much time has passed when it feels like only a few months have slipped away.
We couldn't get her in earlier at the vet school initially than we could at our regular vet this time around. We did, though, get a referral to NCSU's oncology department. :)
