Great, just rub it in that I can't whistle worth spit. I suppose the themes are similiar?

Only superficially, but they are easy to get jumbled up. Both have a strident 'march' feel to them, both have a main theme and secondary 'bridge'. With SG-1, the main theme is major, and the bridge is minor, while with Dr. Who it's reversed. It's way too easy to start with one, and end up humming the other without realizing it.
