Productivity metrics
Mar. 3rd, 2005 06:13 pmYeah, it's as silly and useless as 'lines of code' as a metric of productivity, but I'm mildly amused by the way things have accelerated. I keep a labbook(s) for my dissertation. They're each 152 pages long, 9.25"x11.34" in size.
It took me 4 years, 9 months and 24 days to fill the first one. That's 8.66pgs/100days.
In the past 7months, 10 days, I've filled 93 pages in the second one. That's 34.4pgs/100days.
I even took off all of September in there too. (Other projects took precedence.)
Much better.
It's the little amusing things like this that keep me going. :}
