CD? A *physical* CD? Oh jeez. Um. Wow. I can tell you the *first* one off the top of my head (Berlin, Love Life), but even after looking at the shelf, I can't tell you the last one. Man, that's pathetic.

"Calling All Angels" is also one of my favorite songs and I love the Cash Cover of NIN's "Hurt."

About twice a year, we put the Until the End of the World soundtrack on. It's hard for me to imagine many movies which have better soundtracks. I would only change two things (given that the ordering is true to the movie): use the full version of Neneh Cherry's Move with Me and turn down the volume on Humans from Earth. HfE is so jarringly loud after Calling All Angels.

Cash's version and video of Hurt came out just before my grandfather died... for some reason it became sort of the anthem of life regrets for me. He and I talked a lot in his last year about such things, and I got the feeling it was the first time he'd ever talked about them. There was a lot of pain in his life that he just kept hidden until then.
