Talk titles

I'm supposed to be giving a talk on Friday (I think), and need a title for it. Some contenders:

"Software considered as a system of semi-precious patterns"

"SPQR Ep VI: Return of The Defense"

"SPQR or, How I Learned to Stop Guessing and Find Patterns"

?

I rather like the first one, and hey, I *do* need a formal dissertation title for graduation paperwork... *grin*

I vote for #1. Good title which scores geek points.
I also vote against #2 strongly. You don't want people to have even a remote impression that you've failed one defense before - especially since you haven't. ;)
#3 I'd change to "... How you can learn to stop worrying and love patterns."

Yeah, #2 and 3 were really just tongue in cheek jokes, but I think #3 could work with some tweaking.

I like #3. A lot. But I'm... odd...

Nice Delany reference in the first one, too. Very nice. Of the three, I think it's the most elegant.

Thenk yew. I tossed it at my advisor, knowing he'd just laugh and hate it.

He likes it.

Hell, I might use it as my dissertation title. :D
