Been meaning to post this for a while now...
Megas XLR may be the most bizarrely wonderful cartoon I've seen in years.
Premise: in the future Earth is at war with aliens, large mechas abound as in any number of anime series. One gets tossed back through time, with its pilot. During the transit, the control pod (head) with pilot gets popped off and separated. This is normally bad.
But... the body gets found by two guys who create a new control pod (head) and go about getting the Megas operational. This is normally good.
Except the guys are a couple of high school auto shop goons.
And the new head is a '68 GTO with turbochargers.
Did I mention the array of home console video game controllers on the dash? With the hula girl stuck to it?
I went to high school with Coop and Jamie, I swear to god.
