I was not prepared for what an overwhelming experience it would be.
My brain still cannot comprehend what I saw. The light was so very bright that *my* experience with the launch is completely different from how it looks on tv. On the bus back from the launch site, I watched a video made by the guy sitting next to me. Even five minutes later, seeing the footage made the actual launch made it seem so much more surreal. The wash of sound, the intensity of the light, being able to see bright red specks from a great distance when the booster rockets peeled off... *drool*
