And here I was really hoping I was being *overly* cynical about the commercialization of our political system.

Watched a few minutes of the Democratic Product Rollout tonight - and immediately wanted to find a airsick bag to heave into. It's just disgusting. The halftime show for the election, part 1... but wait, after these commercial sponsor messages, you'll get the second half live from NYC in a few weeks!

Explain to me again why either party should have a single iota of my respect?

Corporate interests running mass marketing campaigns to give us two equally molded and focus group crafted products, neither of which is a palatable option for this citizen. Lesser of two evils is no way to run a country.

Coke vs. Pepsi, indeed.

Face it folks, the system has degraded to an Us vs. Them mentality whose only real purpose is to give everyone a show. Tribal mentality is so easy to sway, isn't it?

Bread and circuses, man. Bread and circuses. We're all just expected to be *political* consumers now too.
