One of the things I love about Keynote is the guided-placement support. Grab an object, start moving it with the mouse, and up pop a plethora of guides to let you know when you're centered with any other object, the same distance from N objects as any two other objects, aligned with an edge of another object, etc, etc, etc.

I have one slide where I had to revert to moving everything with the keyboard, because when I clicked and dragged... the fans kicked in.

I finally realized why.

There are 1009 objects on that one slide.

See, I started with a simple diagram, then zoomed out, grouped it, copied and pasted it a few times, linked those together, zoomed out again, grouped that, copied and pasted a few more times, etc, etc, etc.

Yeah. They add up.

And the possible interactions add up faster. Yikes.
