Who the hell makes a coffee maker where the carafe holds more water than the fill tank?
I fill up the pot, pour it in the top of my Krups coffee maker, and hear... water? Running?
Yup, right out the overflow hole in the back, and down between the wall and the refrigerator in my office.
Jeez. Bad enough that they misdesigned the espresso half so that it's almost useless, but how do you screw up a drip coffee maker???

I'm getting ready to switch to the two coffee maker plan. Only Laurie drinks coffee in the morning, and she leaves half, so I'm going to get a drastically smaller coffee maker (like, half the size of what we have now) for her.
Then I'm going to get one that's twice as big (as the one we have now), for parties.
