The Michigan Theater has a pipe organ in each theater, and the DIA also has one, but they'll also have groups like Alloy Orchestra come through, all for the express purpose of putting music to silent films. I actually got to see Nosferatu with the Alloy Orchestra... last fall. Saw it with rjlona at the Detroit Institute of Arts, and it was a real hoot.
