Remember that project I was on last year, where I literally worked myself sick to the point of needing an MRI to check for strokes to explain the blackouts, and months of endocrinological work to try and figure out what had happened?

I just got a note that they're removing the code from the project, and if I want a copy, I should go grab it.

Well *that* was a complete waste of 8 months of my life, apparently...

Edit: OTOH, I refuse to be made to feel bad about my code design by a group that uses goto. By choice. Rar.

...Not to mention the time it took off the end of it...

Welcome to Corporate America, where working hard is like wetting your pants in a dark suit--you get a brief (ha!) warm feeling, but nobody else notices.

I keep telling you, I get paid an embarrassing amount of money to be professionally negative.

You get it for *free*. What the *fuck* are you complaining about? :)

Isn't that Mike Tyson's reasoning when he beats the shit out of someone in a bar?

Delivered an octave *higher*, mind you, but...

Oh yay, I thought that kind of shit ended after grad school.
Did you at least get a nifty picture of your brain?

Because I was thinking, if I had an MRI of my brain, I'd get it scanned, then put the picture on a t-shirt and say 'THIS IS THE PROBLEM HERE FOLKS'. And it would excellent. But you don't have to do that.

I use it as a component to make SDS-PAGE to run proteins through so I can beat them until I am satisfied!

And thanks for the share, that is really funny XD (I like the Settlers reference too. Get your nerd on kiddies!)

I'm sorry! I erred on the side of caution because I assumed you were a big nerd too :)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acrylamide

So you can separate proteins based on their size if you run them through a matrix, in my case acrylamide. After it polymerizes (assembles) it forms this gel like goo. It is also a neurotoxin, so you can bake it into cakes and kill people and shit.

(SDS-PAGE: Sodium Diethyl Sulfate Polyacrylimide Gel)

Ha! I'm a Levi's 501 buttonfly man.

Preferably with a raunchy tshirt, and a flannel buttondown over the top.

With hiking boots.

Things can disappear from the laundromat.

I would like to maintain my loss-less status.

That is all I have to say on the matter.

Flannel decomposes to threadbare too quickly. Lightweight Polartec or chamois are the way to go.

TMI, dude.

(But me, too--in fact, "easy access" was/is a criterion for certain articles of clothing on both sides.)

(*MY* jeans and *MY* lady, but you knew that.)

I thought about pointing out that a single clasp tends to be insufficient, given M.'s, um, ampleness? Amplitude? Yeah, amplitude.

But then I thought that would be tacky, so I didn't.

Besides, people might think I was bragging. :)
