While I understand that you feel the need to protect your business model as the arbiter of distribution, please don't pretend that you're a content provider. You are a middleman, an overly self-important middle management layer that has taken on the role of a real company. You do not create content. You buy it from those who do. You do not distribute content. You sell it to those who do. You are a wholesaler with entirely too much control over the gates, nothing else.

That out of the way, I thank you for your move to the Zune market, and convincing MS to place a 'copyright cop' into the Zune ecosystem. For one thing, it will keep them distracted long enough with a technical dead-end to continue their spiral down the drain. For another, good luck with making filthy lucre in that market size. Finally, it makes my decision to do my best that you don't get another cent from me, in any capacity, quite a bit easier.

See, your entire business model relies on two revenue sources: selling content to distributors, such as my cable company, and selling ads to companies during those shows. You're making a rather lame attempt at the obvious solution, and that is selling directly to consumers, but you're mangling that badly.

Well, guess what. I plan on ditching cable, and going with a free OTA HDTV antenna. There goes one revenue stream for you. And the second? Shows will be DVR'd, and ads will continue to be skipped over. I know you seem to think this is theft, I consider it time-shifting of the less interesting material until later. How much later? Well, that's up to me, isn't it?

For shows that are on non-OTA, I am more than happy to purchase them legally online, and most of them are available on iTunes, or through other legal channels. Yours are not... at least not on any I plan on supporting. There goes that third revenue stream you're going to be needing. Personally, I look forward to the day when I can purchase content directly from the creators, and bypass you altogether. Don't forget, you are nothing if not replaceable.

Enjoy your continued slide into irrelevance.
