A few months ago I bought a pair of Shure E3c canalphones, and I have used them almost daily since - pricey, but very good.

This morning I pulled them out of my bag to find that one of the pieces that fits down into the ear had snapped off. Normally I keep them in their hard shell case, but I was in a hurry a couple of days ago and wrapped the earphones around my iPod and slipped it into the slot I use for the iPod. ie, they were still pretty well protected.

Well, there goes $180. I mean, it's a piece of electronics - what does it have, a 90 day warrantee, normally?

Try two years.

Okay, this gives me a little bit of hope. I'm sure it's going to be deemed user abuse, but I call anyway.

They said they'll be happy to replace them.

So... if the estimates on CNN are correct, Clinton won Indiana 52/48. No surprise there.

But Obama is predicted to win NC... and it currently stands at 41/57 (no clue where the other 2% went). *Sixteen points?!* Wow.

Pump those into CNN's delegate counter, assume the remaining states go 50/50, and the amount of the remaining superdelegates that Obama needs to clinch the nomination at the convention?

21%. Which means that even if MI and FL are seated fully... Obama still needs significantly less than 50% of the remaining superdelegates at convention to win.

We'll see what the final tally is, of course, only 47% of NC precincts had reported.

Edit: 55% in, split is at 42/56.

[livejournal.com profile] ginkgo mentioned today that apparently Rush Limbaugh has been advocating Republicans in NC to switch affiliations and vote for Clinton. Check out the ratio she's getting in the more conservative counties in western NC: it's around 70-75%. Huh. Limbaugh poisoning the well, or that support we've been hearing she was among white blue collar voters?

Edit2: 86%, same ratio: 42/56. Looks like about what it should end up at. I'm quite surprised by the strong Obama support Down East. Almost solid dark blue east of RTP.
