Wore this to work today. Director of my department saw it, said "I like the jacket with the TARDIS - that's cool." "Did you see what it says?" I asked. "Oh... *laugh* that's so true." "Yeah, my wife got it for me." "Cool!"

Personally, I think the jacket makes it. ;)

The first Doctor Who I can remember seeing was, I believe, The Three Doctors. I think I remember the First Doctor being in it, but I'm also pretty positive it was in color. (Well, that really-washed-out-color that was standard mid-century BBC fare.) I was pretty young, and it was about 2am, so my memory is cloudy...

I think Tom Baker was the first one I have even semi-clear memories of, (although it may have been a Pertwee episode before that... I don't know which one I saw first...) and Eccleston was the first one I watched regularly.

Which was first?

The first one I saw on TV: Tom Baker

The first new doctor / actor I saw regenerate while watching a newly broadcast episode: Paul McGann

The only one I remember is Tristan Far- I mean, Peter Davison.

And I never watched any with any regularity.

I bought this for him an hour and a half before he forwarded your message to me. :D Small, small world.

Heh. I almost cc'd you on the email, but made the assumption that if it was worth your time he'd send it to you, and probably faster :D. It is a really fun shirt. And I think [livejournal.com profile] kickaha's right about the jacket making the shirt work too.

I must be the exception

the first one I saw was Davison, but Tom Baker will always be _The_ Doctor as far as I'm concerned.

First Dr. I saw: Baker.

First Dr. I read: Hartnell's incarnation, even if I hadn't actually seen the show yet.

First Dr. I ever got hot'n'bothered over: Eccleston, really.

Of course... my sonic screwdriver arrive yesterday, so we know where my current allegiances lay...

*lol* Hmmm, that looks subtly different from this one (http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/cubegoodies/8cff/) that I considered getting...

Nope, judging from the notepad in the TG pic, it's the same toy. I think yours has a better pic on the page, though.

It's fun, so far, for a dead simple toy. Two of my friends, whose attentions were elsewhere when I whipped it out and turned it on... it was great fun watching their heads snap around and their eyes light up. =-)

I need that shirt. That's a great picture.

Weirdly enough, my first Doctor was, well, Barbara Benedetti. But the first real episode I saw was also, coincidentally, The Three Doctors.

Doesn't it just? That's a huge reason I want to make my fan film -- my first exposure to Doctor Who was not that it was something you watch, but something you do.

Oh yeah, I know a lot of people who have had that reaction. Mostly women, of course, although there seems to be quite a disparity between the Tennant and Eccleston groups, and...

Oh I'm sorry, you said some*thing*, not some*one*. My bad. :D
