Independence Day came 48 hours early for me this year.

Just got back from the surgeon, and the brace is *OFF*.

*happy dance*





Of course, I can't lift my arm past about 20deg in any direction, and he says it'll be six more weeks before it's really healed, and another six months after that before I have all my strength and mobility back, but...

It is quite a thrilling day. I wish he would post a picture of the brace with the graphics tablet platform hooked in instead of the ski pole-grip - that made the Borg jokes *even*more*satisfying*. :) One of the people in his department machined it for him.

I do miss my yoga / biking / kayaking partner. :(
