Home again, home again, jiggity jog...

We're back in NY, got here just a bit before the bell tolled for 2007 last night. Apologies to all those who invited us out last night, but yesterday turned out to be the best option for us coming back up here after all. It was great seeing those we did in NC, and as usual we didn't get to see everyone we wanted to.

It's good to be home though, and sleeping in our own bed. I had one last surprise when I got home. ginkgo had a bottle of Belle de Brillet for us to toast the New Year - it's a pear cognac, the claim is twenty pounds of pears per 750mL bottle, and I believe it. Heavenly. A glass of that, and watching with ginkgo the municipal fireworks up and down the Hudson (and several miles inland), was a great start to the year.
