My postdoc has been extended a year.

They like me!

But not enough to hire me fully!

*sigh*

Yeah... my personality and limbo don't go well together. :P Especially when we're trying to decide what to do about housing... *bleah*

Prior mgr, who ran out of funding, and therefore found me the new position.

This mgr made no such commitment. And, given that I've only been here two months with the new team, and it's been... weird... (mgr is in Spain with her newborn twins, back 2nd week of Jan, we've never actually met in person, team lead lost her father, has had several large family issues, and then serious personal health problems as well) well... I'll bring it up again at my next review in the Mar/Apr timeframe.

LOL Welllll, today she asked me "Where do you see yourself in five years?" and after rambling for a couple of minutes, I realized I had just described her position... Oops. :D

At least you didn't say 'sipping champagne on your grave!' That doesn't go over well. ;)

Hey, continued employment always beats the alternative.

Well, almost always.

Yeah, employment is good.

Knowing whether or not to look into buying a house, keeping funds liquidable, or going for more aggressive investment for the next 12 months is, however, preferred at this point. :P

Meh. I've _got_ a house.

Though not a mansion or a yacht. At least, not yet.

Hey, this does still leave the possibility of buying, renovating, and selling within 14 months! :D

*pant*pant*pant*

Meh.
