Granted, I've been inside for the last couple months of this development, but I';ve heard all these points already (discussion boards, etc.). I suspect this Sorkin guy scanned what Teh Intarweb had to say about it, as well as coming to his own conclusions.
Oh sure - these are the same questions that just about *every* techhead came up with immediately. I just figured I'd stave off the "Plant!" calls that you know are going to pop up. ;)
Oh, it'll sell. There are at least 80,000 people who will almost certainly buy one for themselves, plus one for the spouse, and some for Christmas presents.
Of course, they'll be getting the Company Store discount. I figure at least 50,000 will go before a non-MS employee actually picks one up.
