Twas not my preferred way of ending out the day, no.
Turned into it, caught *just* the outer edge of the cap on a pointy bit of the radiator. Made a beautiful *bongggggg* that I'm sure had the neighbors on the same pipeline wondering what the hell *that* was.
Luckily, it looks like I escaped with a bruise, no chip, and I'm not even limping today. :)
Ooh, I don't even want to think about the damage that would be done to Liam's psyche were I to do that with my knee. I would say words that would summon eldritch horrors bent on drinking the sanity of all within range. He might never recover.
(Fortunately, I don't have any sanity left, so I'd be fine.)
This, of course, is my own way of laughing at your pain. :)
Heh. Surprisingly, I was pretty much silent other than an initial yelp and maybe a couple of grunts.
More surprisingly, the cat I was holding at the time was *not* squeezed into paste, but was (more or less) gently put on the floor.
Did I mention the lovely gonging sound? For some reason, I thought it was a neat noise. Even in the red haze of pain, I remember focussing on that and thinking it was really neat. *shrug* Probably what stilled my tongue. :)
Every time I scroll past this post while I'm looking for updates, I read the last word as "icepick", whcih seems like a really bad thing to apply to a knee that's already injured.

I mean, with all the terrible haiku out there, if you're at the top of the list...
