Good, Bad...

Good:

Canes won the Cup last night. I even got home in time for it. :)

Bad:

Weather has been nasty hot and muggy, and we're on the 3rd floor, no AC.

Good:

ginkgo went and got a 12kBTU AC unit yesterday! Yay!

Bad:

It weighs 82 lbs. Up two flights of stairs. And then installing it.

Good:

It has all sorts of features.

Bad:

It was a bitch to install.

Good:

Mmmm, nice icy air.

Bad:

Several buttons on the front panel simply didn't work.

Good:

We kept all the packing materials.

Bad:

It was a bitch to uninstall.

Good:

Best Buy took it back, no problem.

Bad:

They didn't have any replacements.

Good:

They did have two 8kBTU units for $60 more, together. Which means that we can split the cooling through the house a bit more evenly.

Bad:

Did I mention the two flights of stairs?

Good:

They weigh only 60lbs.

Bad:

Each.

Good:

We should have coolness again soon.

Bad:

I parked on the wrong side of the street last night. (Insane parking regs here.)

Good:

Somehow I evaded a ticket.

Bad:

Jeep needs to be repaired before I can even *try* and register it.

Good:

Body shop is willing to replace the side mirror for the cost of the part... which he found used, for $40. Wow.

Body shop is willing to throw in repair of the back seat for free as well.
