Huh. I guess we know why it was cut. :p

But I gotta ask, who's digitizing all this? That stuff's all on old film, probably in an archive somewhere...how do you get your hands on that to scan?

Ha!

I used to have the film trading cards that had some cels from that piece right there. I always was confused as a kid, because I couldn't ever remember meeting Biggs Darkliter or seeing him in that outfit...

Vindication!

Kinda like my Superman: The Movie trading cards I still have... several of them show scenes deleted from the theatrical release.

I wonder how much those things are worth now? I must have a couple hundred...

I remember hearing something about this - I can't remember where, though. It was years after the release, and yet still years ago.
I have some of those cards around somewhere ;)

But boy-howdy, I think it must've been the "Brokeback Mountain" vibe that made them cut the scene!
Then again, maybe the prissy brunette bitch was what make Luke so into his sister...

Well now we know why Luke called him 'Bigs'.

*rimshot*

Yeah, I picked up on that too. "Wow, those two are... close? Hunh."

Also showed Luke to be something approaching young adulthood instead of the whiny 12 year old he ended up being in most of the first part of the film. I guess that would have been jarring. :P
