Bad advertising ideas, take 2

http://www.drpepper.com/

Select (horrible horrible evil Flash) menu item 'Products', then click on Dr. Pepper Berries & Cream.

Note last four words of descriptive paragraph.

Worse?

Heard that ad on TV last night. Hearing someone say that while you're not really paying attention is a little disturbing.

That's why I sought out the website. Are the sick fucks finally taking over the world, or are advertising executives becoming too stupid (c.f. "hide a bunny in your freezer)?

You will never go poor from betting on human stupidity.

*grunt*
*adjusts trucker cap*
*scratches crotch*
*holds hand there*

"Think I kin ahblige yuh. Huh huh."

*grunts*

*removes redneck persona*

Actually, the sickwits probably are well aware of the entendre. It's very likely deliberate, and they're all just going go "Oh, oops, we goofed! So sorry." if anyone calls them on it.

Hey, it makes for a better euphemism than "going to Tukwila".

"Hey, baby, wanna get berried in cream?"

OK, maybe not so much of a euphemism at that. It's still an improvement.

[identity profile] kickaha.livejournal.com 2006-04-24 06:59 pm (UTC)(link)
*laugh* Too true.

God, is that euphemism still in the Seattle Lexicon?

[identity profile] georgmi.livejournal.com 2006-04-24 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
To be honest, I have no idea. Bad enough that it's still kicking around in my head.
