Two gems...

ginkgo has made two stellar utterances in the past 24 hrs that need to be shared.

Cartoon Network Adult Swim has... broken mold... and is now showing Saved By The Bell at midnight, M-Th.

No, I'm not kidding. Saved By The Bell. From episode 1. I thought it had to be a joke, but they're doing it. Like a train wreck, we had to watch last night, and ginkgo noted that really, it's just live-action anime.

She is DEAD ON. Look at the characters, the hairstyles, the camera work, the stories... it's frickin' anime, live-action.

Most disturbingly, my revulsion levels plummeted, and suddenly it's kind of an interesting thing to watch in a cultural analysis sort of way.


Then tonight, we were looking at Bob's collar, and noticed that the holes in her old rabies tag were full of... chum. Wet cat food. Nasty smelling crap. So while I was pulling the old tag, but leaving the bell, the reflector tag, and the new rabies tag, ginkgo remarked "What, you don't want pink in the tink?"

Most disturbingly, I'm still going to sleep in the bed next to her tonight.

Wow, I remember when I was a preteen and early teens Saved By the Bell reruns were on 8 times a day, on various channels, so that, should one want to, one could watch it from 2:30-6:30 straight every single weekday.

One person I was discussing this with said that Saved By The Bell would have been *vastly* improved with either a good dose of yaoui, or tentacles. I can't say I disagree.
