So after an extremely long, tiring, frustrating day, I get back to the town my hotel is in after 11, and everything but Wal*Mart is closed. Everything. I haven't had dinner. All I can think about is how good warm food is going to be, and I'm eating a microwaved TV dinner. Okay, I can deal.

But for some UNKNOWN GODDAMNED REASON, the cleaning crew decided that today would be a good day to turn the AC in my room on full fucking blast. About 55 deg in here, if I'm lucky. Already called down the front desk, and they were mildly apologetic.

I'd love to get ahold of the idiot that did this and ask what they hell they were thinking.

I take it that they were also unapologetic over the dogs?

I was so pissed off over the AC I totally forgot about the dogs. I checked out back, and the cars are all gone but one, and I don't hear the little bugger.

(For the confused, last night someone left a yapper dog in their car overnight, parked out back of the hotel... under my window. It wasn't that loud, but definitely noticeable while I was trying to get to sleep. I ended up having to turn on the fan to drown it out. Worst bit was when it set off the *large* dog below me. That lasted all of about three woofs, but still. Jeez, people.)

How the hell do they allow dogs at a hotel?? I've never heard of that.

And isn't it supposed to snow up there this weekend? So they turn on the AC? WTF?

Your hotel does not impress me. You should move to one that does. :)

Oh, and Wal Marts sometimes have fast food places in them. If you weren't aware. So you could have had a warm partially digestible substance at least. :)

Not at that hour - the McD's was closed. I found a Denny's today, but I'll be out of here on Monday morning, sooooo...

If they're guide dogs, they have to let them in, federal law. Would explain why the big sounding dog that was fairly well behaved was inside, and the yapping punt-worthy one was outside.

The AC just baffled me. Maybe it was their idea of a joke. Maybe they were trying to turn it off, and set it wrong. Last time they cleaned, I came in to it off. When I checked in, it was off. I'm betting they have a policy to keep them off at all times if possible. It's not like I keep it 80 in here, about 68 or so. Annoying. Makes me wonder what else in here (as in my stuff) they're fucking with.
