Praise the laudanum, and pass the Midol.
May. 12th, 2003 12:53 pmLast night I fulfilled a 20 year dream...
I saw The Cramps live. :)
I first heard of this band in a review in Playboy when I was 12... and decided that any band named The Cramps, with an album titled Can Your Pussy Do The Dog? *had* to be investigated.
Two problems: 1) I was 12. 2) I was in Wenatchee. (They've got both kinds of music there, country *and* western.)
Incredibly, amazingly cool. Usual low energy of a Chapel Hill crowd, but there *were* cans flying out of the mosh pit from time to time, so for this area that's damned near a riot.

OMG
Date: 2003-05-12 10:21 am (UTC)I'll be damned. That's cool.
Did they play "Redneck 7-11"?
Nope
Date: 2003-05-12 11:01 am (UTC)And Surfin' Bird. That was a trip. :)
They didn't play Sheena's In a Goth Gang, Bikini Girls With Machine Guns, or Do The Clam either, which kinda disappointed me.
And, I *think* they're still alive... they did look rather pickled up there... :D
