Geeeeeeeek with us!

Alrighty, [livejournal.com profile] ginkgo and I are going to be hosting Dr. Who nights every Tue night from now until... whenever. We have last season of the new BBC production on various optical media, and will be starting with the first episode this very Tuesday night, 1/10, at 7pm, at Chez Us. Most of you know how to get here, drop us a line if you need directions.

Since it seems that basically nobody around here is a Whovian, so come have some fun and get sucked into the largest, most complex, convoluted, and topsy-turvy time travel series you've ever run across. You think Star Trek continuity is wacky... ha. 43 years of stories here, covering television, radio, and print. Amazing stuff, and believe it or not, they now have a props and set budget.

And all the Whos in Whoville...
Man, I wish I could join you! Here's hoping IBM hires your computer geek genius ass and you move back to Seattle!

Excuuuuuuuse me! I bet I have more Dr. Who books then you. I started role-playing with the gawd-awful FASA Dr. Who RPG back in the '80s. My Dr. Who geek cred is intact, thankyouverramuchgawddamnit.

See you Tuesday at 7pm.

olde Whovians are around here- just not up to date w/new stuff

oooh, i can't make it this coming Tuesday because that's my birthday and i already have other plans, but i would definitely be interested in joining you & L to watch Dr. Who on upcoming Tuesdays. i've never been to your place though & haven't seen you two in a long while...

Ahem.

But if they have a props and set budget, where is the money for the collective BBC cocaine habit coming from these days? I always figured the special effects budget was being snorted up the nose of the Dr Who special effects guys...

Hey, I'm not a serious Whovian, but I almost went to the only Who con that's ever been held in Raleigh.

It got cancelled.

The rumor is that Seattle has a lot of Who fans, yet I've only seen one episode of new Who so far (and no old ones). My edumacation is lacking.

My friends need to be punished.

By 'last season' do you mean 'the first season of the latest incarnation'?

The Doctor was the only good thing about the DnD movie.

This sounds like a blatant ripoff of the long-standing Ann Arbor "Geek TV Night" which is currently going through Tom Baker while we wait for the new BG episodes!
Copycats!

Urgh, I'm going to be fencing on Tuesday nights. Any chance I could borrow the various optical media at some point?

This is tempting. I used to watch back in middle school but haven't seen them since. The music on the show used to scare the crap out of my younger sister for some reason. Tuesday is my big tv night so I'll let ya know later if we decide to join you.
