Liar, liar, pants on fire...

Let's make it more difficult.

Edited to give credit

Oh, fine, it's been 24 hours and no new guesses... I'll give out the last two and add explanations for the remainder.

20 true, 5 false

1. My grandfather was at Roswell during The Big Do
2. I started college when I was 13 I was 11. Yeah, trick question, sue me.
3. A relative of mine was Brigham Young's last wife
Ann Eliza Webb, by some accounts Young's 28th wife, by others his forty-somethingth, but by her autobiography she was Wife Number 19. She divorced his ass, and became a touring public speaker for women's suffrage and against Mormonism. I had great fun with this fact while living in Salt Lake City. She's like my second cousin twice removed or some such.
4. I've skied the Matterhorn
5. My hometown is the Apricot Capitol of the World - gilthalas
6. I've met Jacques Cousteau
7. I played 1on1 with Jack Sikma, center for '76 Supersonics National Champions... and won
8. I've gone scuba diving with Jacques Cousteau - dollraves
9. My grandfather was asked to pilot the Enola Gay
He was asked to pilot a mission, but not only could he not tell his pregnant wife about it, he couldn't tell her he was going, or might be going soon. He would just... disappear, and they would inform her. He was also told there was a good chance of not coming back. He declined. He later found out what the mission had been, and was always grateful he turned it down.
10. I've driven through all of the 48 contiguous US states - flinx
11. I was born in Germany Missed it by three weeks. My folks lived there, but my Mom flew back to the US to have me.
12. I have scars from a third degree sunburn
Tops of my feet - was in an aluminum canoe for a day out on the Potholes Reservoir - put sunblock on everywhere *then* took off my shoes. Shiny metal canoe = parabolic mirror. I didn't notice because the cool water kept them comfy. Then I jumped out and sank into hot sand on the beach late that day. Lost everything down to a thin layer over the tendons, doctor said it was indeed 3rd degree. Rare in a sunburn, but obviously possible.
13. I have scars from a sunburn on my sclera (white of the eye)
14. My mother was a figure skater
15. My brother is a national hockey champion
16. I've been stalked by a cougar in the woods
17. I've been attacked by a German shepherd
18. I piloted a plane at age 5
19. I've ridden an elephant around the big top at Circus Vargas, dressed as a clown
20. My dad encountered Guatemalan freedom fighters in the jungles of Mexico... and stood them down
He was surveying a coffee plantation near the Guatemala border, when his group was met with a band of men armed with Uzis. They were *really* interested in the gringo. Through a translator, my Dad talked them out of it. They later heard gunfire and screaming in the area, and it turned out the band had met a military troupe. All Guatemalan, all in Mexico. Slightly porous border.
21. I was kicked out of my fraternity for low GPA
22. I once had an afro
23. I helped develop the Mk50 torpedo for the Navy
24. I had a grand mal seizure as a baby... for 17 minutes
25. I've watched a tornado form immediately over my head
Ginkgo and I were on Ocracoke Island out on the Outer Banks, and were watching the storm clouds move inland. To our left. To our right, they were going out. I looked up, and we got to watch this lime green eye form, then a funnel, then it started to drop as it moved off. Very cool.

Oo-Oo-Ooh! My turn, my turn!

I'm gonna go with... #'s 1, 8 (I cheated), 10 (not yet, anyway, though you're close), 16 (they're too shy, normally), and 24.

1. Nope. Yes, he was. No, he would never talk about it. The 351st squadron of the 509th group of the 8th Air Force was the responding unit. His. He later flew cargo planes to Wright Patterson. *whistles tunelessly*

8. Awwwww....

10. BING BING BING I think I'm at 40 right now. Have just a few SE states and Maine, NH, and Vermont. Maybe Connecticut.

16. Unfortunately, not this one. Tracked me for about a mile down a canyon while I was cross-country skiing near Cashmere, up near the summit of Mission Creek. (You can get to Ellensburg that way, if that lets you know how far out I was.) Stayed up on a cliff about 15' above my head, but then when the cliff came within about 6' of the roadbed... SCREAMED. Right in my freaking ear. I thought I was already doing top speed.

24. Again, unfortunately, this one is true. Had measles at 18months, fever spiked from 101 to 107 in about 15 minutes, I went into a seizure. Back arched, rigid as a board, turning purple, the whole bit. My mother threw me into a sink of ice water, doctor said it was the only thing that saved my life. He was still convinced I was going to have massive brain damage.
