kickahaI <3 Derek Jacobi. I really wish he was keeping the role. Other than that? Niiiiiiiiice. Beautiful to see Captain Jack again, instead of that broody sourpuss over on Torchwood. "Was someone just kissing me?" Great to hear the backstory of how he ended up looping round the bend of time. The scene with he and the Doctor reconciling in the radiation room? Perfectly played. (BTW, watch the Doctor Who Confidential for this episode - RTD has a nice bit about what it takes for guys to open up and actually *talk*.)
And really - while I kind of preferred the idea of Jacobi in full-on evil bastard mode, with his suave quiet demeanor punctuated by bursts of manic violence, and his sheer panache for slow creepy burn, I'm glad to see the Master back. Hey, Tennant started off as a bit of a hyperactive goofball post-regeneration, let's see how Master/Saxon plays out next episode.
