Earthquakes.
Mountains.
Bare rock escarpments.
Lava flows.
Everything out here is buried under several hundred feet of clay. A bare boulder is rare.
And it is *flat*. Bleah. The Smokies are nice, pleasant even, but they lack energy, vim and vigor.
