I have blood sugar problems from time to time, and tend to get crashy if I don't watch it. Generally I do pretty well with this, but last night... oy.

Mostly skipped breakfast yesterday, had a light lunch around 12, and then didn't get home until 8. Grabbed a quick bite (bread) to tide me over while [livejournal.com profile] ginkgo and I went grocery shopping. Which took a lot longer than I thought. We got home after 10, and by that point it was all I could do to walk straight. (I think I actually passed out in the car at one point - I woke up in a *REALLY* uncomfortable utter-slumped position, and had no idea where I was.)

So 10:30-12 was spent just trying to eat... *anything*. I was nauseated and was having weird pains in my chest and stomach, so the turkey/gruyere sandwich I made was a loss. Ate half of it, put the rest in the fridge.

Now here's the weird part... after I started to recover a bit, I noticed that I was aching. Everywhere. And kept bouncing between sweaty hot and clammy cold. Yup, a fever. Oh, and a splitting headache. Both have continued through today, so I'm heading home from work in a bit.

Oh yeah, one other weird bit - when we were getting into the car at the store, and I was starting to have problems pushing the cart in a straight line, I had an odd sensation in my head (like a *thump*), an extreme light-headed feeling, and then my vision got CRYSTAL FUCKING CLEAR. OMG, I could make out leaves on trees two blocks away. At night. No joke. This lasted for about five minutes. I'd love to have that back.

Edit: Awwwwww, you all *DO* care! :D I'm going to go drop by the internal clinic at 2 when they re-open for non-emergency visits.
