Funding question

Was approached by a DNC fundraiser wonk today while walking north of campus who claimed that while Kerry was banned from further fundraising, Bush could continue to do so.

Anyone want to explain this rather strange comment?

Fundraising rules change after the party's convention. Since Kerry has already had his, but Bush hasn't, Bush is allowed to continue. There was discussion of pushing back the DNC till later but they decided against it.

I don't know the exact details of the rules, but that's the gist of it...
