Snip snop
Met with the surgeon this morning for the upcoming shoulder work on May 23rd. (Torn posterior labrum - shoulder spontaneously dislocates in certain positions. Quite unfun.) Met with the pre-care center for info on what I should expect post-op, and what to do pre-op.
Then I went to the Brace Shop to get fitted for my shoulder 'sling'. Yeah, they call it a sling, but I look like Robocop with it on. It's a side-torso mount with three 1.5" webbing straps over shoulder, side, and waist. Then a metal apparatus that holds my forearm out about 45 deg *out* from my body, that ends in a hand grip that looks like a ski pole handle.
I get to wear this for six weeks.
*sigh*
Typing is going to be a *bitch*.
