"Okay, as long as you know it's going to hurt like hell." "Yup." In fact, I have enough time that I should be able to see the physical therapist directly afterwards. Eek.
They're going to do a mild local instead - he said it'll take the edge off for a couple of hours instead of the 24-36 of a block, and not go near the nerves.
