Given his comments illustrating his amazing lack of information, I have this sneaking suspicion that the meaning behind the word wasn't exactly admiring, you know?
The point I tried to get across to him was that the Windows box was a waste of space on my desk... it really wasn't doing anything useful, and was merely taking up space. He seemed to have a hard time accepting that maybe I didn't *want* it taking up space on my desk... he didn't seem to be able to understand that maybe it wasn't up to the task for what I need... and it's not.
So to have the comment then end up being a mildly patronizing 'he finds it sufficient' irked me. I could not care less what people use for their own ends... I really couldn't. I do care when someone decides that I'm an idiot for using what I do, because of their lack of education and level of ignorance.
Sometimes a silly story is just a silly story, Steve. Let it go. :)
(Besides, we've talked what, half a dozen times in the past five years? Give a guy some credit for moving past the platform wars. BTW, we need to change that situation - see you in late Oct? :) )
