On that topic (or rather, on a topic I can plausibly misconstrue as the same), I learned a lesson today, not quite the hard way:

When a bee is flying toward your face, close your mouth before it gets there.

Sucker bounced off my cheek, practically knocked me off my bike. Can't help but be glad it wasn't an inch further toward my left.
