This much cheese should come with some wine.

DVR'd the premiere of The Middleman. Monday night, 9pm, ABC Family. Watching now.

Yeah, total crapshoot, but uh... this is great. It's every corny cliche of 50s and 60s comics, combined with utterly gratuitous fan service, and played *totally deadpan serious*.

This. Is. Beautiful.

Sorry if you told me this, but did your DVR solution turn out to be a subscription service, or did you buy something that works without monthly extortion payments? I am ready to pop for something since I have the HDTV but no way of recording anything but NTSC, which looks like shite at 52"...

Yes, I quite enjoyed it, too.

Hadn't heard about it until Newsarama articled it, but dove to the TiVo and asked it to get me a subscription. Ended up seeing that the first episode was on iTunes and grabbed it. Only problem was external to the show--watching it on a Nano was Too Small.

I loved the fan service, too--and didn't catch any errors in it, which is pretty damn rare. And I loved the b&w "training montage".
