Yeah, the new G11 plasma displays are apparently rather stunning. 30k:1 contrast native, 1M:1 dynamic. That's just crazy. (Although the Pioneer Kuros are another order of magnitude above *that*, and the Kuro 2 demo displays due out late this fall are another jump above *THAT*... but at 6-8k$, uh, no.)
Would you believe that a primary concern for not buying one right now is the 600+W energy usage/conversion to heat in our little top floor, no AC, humid summer locale apartment?
