One thing finally turned my way... PowerPoint sucks ass. We know this. Exporting from Keynote to PPT means you lose 90% of the visual niceties that make a Keynote presentation nice to look at while the speaker is making with the mouth noises. Worse, it bungled every Move Object action I had, which rendered each animation useless. I considered making slides that had each pre- and post- move action, but then realized that that was insane.
So I decided not to use PowerPoint at all. Blasphemy, I know. Instead, I had Keynote export to PDF, with a page for each build transition in the presentation. Then I just deleted the pages that were mid-build. Voila.
It's sad when the technical side of things is the easiest flow during the day. :P
