I guess I'm not surprised that they changed the informal protocol for repairs to the shuttle's heat blanket this morning. Originally, they were going to sew it back together using wire and an improvised needle, now they're using a medical stapler. I guess it's just as well, it would have been hard for the astronaut on EVA to discuss the previous approach with ground control.

After all, in space, no one can hear you seam.
