it's the little things...

Snagged a hot one right out of the oven, put a little real butter on it, and then a dollop of some of the last of my honey from home. My grandmother sends it periodically. She gets it from an orchardist in Sunnyslope outside of Wenatchee, WA who lets his bees wander hither and yon. He's down by the Wenatchee River too (in those slow bends near the Sleepy Hollow Bridge), so not only does it have apple, pear and cherry blossoms, but a strong tone of cottonwood. There's also quite a bit of the desert wildflowers from across the river. It is, quite simply, some of the best honey I've ever encountered.
