You've gotta love automated systems.
Aug. 19th, 2004 12:13 pmSo remember that disputed charge from June regarding the rude doctor?
Well, I paid the balance on that bill, minus the disputed charge. There were three items on that bill: an okay one, the disputed one, and another good one. The first two were on June 17th, the third on June 22nd.
The amount for the disputed charge showed up on my bill again this month, as late.
For the third charge.
Yup, they applied the amount I sent in sequentially, so the idjit doctor got credited, and the one I was happy with didn't. Luckily, a simple phone call took care of it - the gentleman on the phone was very nice, saw the problem immediately, and moved the funds over to the appropriate item, leaving the disputed charge unpaid, as it should be.
Heh. Nothing evil going on, just an automated billing system doing its job in an unexpected situation.
Oh, and my disputed charge is being reviewed now, I was able to learn. Should get word back soon. Well, actually, if it goes well, I won't hear squat is what'll most likely happen, they'll just remove it from the bill and drop the matter.
