I don't think that's odd at all, but my guess is that those shops are small enough that there wouldn't be more than a moment of "ohshit". Most likely, the person who took in the order is also the person taking the cake off the printer.
Back in NT, somebody did up a screensaver that mimicked the BSOD. This was back before the domain servers enforced strong admin passwords, so it was very easy to remote into someone's box and replace their chosen screensaver with the new one. Hilarity ensued. :)
