Actually, I've had people tell me on a couple of occasions that I'm thoughtless and inconsiderate because of something I've said or done. I don't think they appreciated it when I told them I actually had thought about it, and had considered the effect on other people, but just decided I didn't care. One time I'd just said something irreverent to my mom, and a third party took me to task for it. I told her, "If I hadn't been considering it, could I have come up with exactly the most annoying thing possible to say? I don't think so." Mom laughed at that, but the third party started to avoid me thereafter. Cool by me. :)
