Alright, settle down... first off, the weather out here sucks sweaty, hairy ass. Repeatedly, and often. That's not in doubt. I'll take the NW weather over this any day of the week, month or year. Secondly, who says I've gotten acclimatized to anything? I'm the one who had the heat stroke, remember? I handle heat about as well as a penguin. Because of that, I've had to utilize various approaches to dealing with heat levels that most people don't even notice.

Go back and read what I said - the humidity there is dry enough to use simple evaporation as an effective coping mechanism. I outlined how, based on dealing with relatively dry heat for many years. I only wish those techniques worked here, it'd cut down on my AC bill tremendously.

Frankly, I'm downright jealous of your weather, right now, or pretty much any day. The idea that the humidity would be *that low* on a day of 90-100 sounds like heaven. (To be utterly honest, I really don't like it here - weather, culture, people... there's really nothing but occasional trips to NYC to play to recommend this area. If it weren't for work, there's no way I'd be here. But for short term, I'm trying to enjoy the uniqueness of it.)

Yes, I'm going to point and laugh a bit (in friendly jest), because to be honest, I don't understand the griping. It's hot, yes indeedy... but it's a hot that is manageable with a bit of thought and information. You have the power, knowing is half the battle, transform and roll out, blah blah blah...

Besides, you know it's going to break in a few days, while our weather won't for 2-3 months. So enjoy the uniqueness of it, if nothing else, ferchrissakes.

And drink plenty of water. :)
