S'alright, this is my solution, as when I have the laptop on my lab bench, my reception hinges on whether or not the lab door is open... *sigh*
Right click on the wireless network icon in the system tray (default lower right) Select 'View Available Networks' From the left panel menu, select 'Change advanced settings' There under the 'General' tab, at the bottom, you'll see two check-boxes I kill the 'Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity' one.
Also, you can go under the 'Wireless Networks' tab Select the work network, and then 'Properties' There, under the 'Connection' tab, I turn off 'Connect when this network is within range'.
