You're dead right on the "Kinda got closer to:", mostly by comparing your right profile pic with the Tennant picture, where the front looks slightly disheveled.

Yeah, neither really gets the full gestalt though - I've been playing around today with poofing it up, slicking it down, dropping the droopy bangs, and keeping it swept up and back. Kinda digging it again.
