Hmmm...

So if the average lifespan of a male is 72 years, and today I turn 36, does that mean I'm officially middle-aged?

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Oh well, happy birthday to me. :)

[identity profile] endorphan.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 07:59 am (UTC)(link)
Happy Birthday!!
Would that you were on this coast, I'd get you hammered!
And good for you, for living longer than I expected to when I was young!

[identity profile] kickaha.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 08:01 am (UTC)(link)
Would that I were on that coast, I'd take you up on it!

And yes, while getting older isn't the greatest thing in the world, it beats the alternative. :)

[identity profile] endorphan.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 08:12 am (UTC)(link)
indeed.
that's been my mantra, the last few years.

[identity profile] badger.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 10:50 am (UTC)(link)
Happy birthday, dude.

[identity profile] ginkgo.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 02:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Best to drown your sorrows in the rest of the rioja from last night. :D

Happy birthday, love.

Yep.

[identity profile] gwywnnydd.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 02:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Prepare to have your pate emerge through the upper edge of your hair any day now. You'll be looking like Ben Franklin in no time :).

Felicitous natal anniversary, BTW. ;)

[identity profile] maisimai.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 02:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, you are definitaly middle aged now. Have you found any gray hairs yet? Now its time for the sports car and other sterotypes....Happy B-day in westchestah.

:D

[identity profile] jinasphinx.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 03:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Happy birthday!
Middle-aged? What happened to that plan to take over the world and live forever?

[identity profile] dollraves.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
OHMYGAWDSHAPPYBIRTHDAYYOUSILLYGOOSE!!

[identity profile] kickaha.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 04:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed, that is one stellar wine. :D

Thanks hon! (She went and got me birthday donuts this morning before I woke up. :) )

Re: Yep.

[identity profile] kickaha.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
So far, my dad's genes have overwhelmed my mom's genetics, and my hair has stayed put. (My brother, who takes after mom's side in most ways, started losing his at 22.) I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll remain looking more like Tho. Jefferson than Ben Franklin. :D

And, danke!

[identity profile] kickaha.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 04:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, yes I have. In the *oddest* places.

Can I trade in the sports car for a Ducati? :D

Re: :D

Shhhhhhhh, I'm being sneaky!

[identity profile] kickaha.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks, whippersnapper! :D

[identity profile] kickaha.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
*lol* I can always expect a ray of sunshine from you. :D

[identity profile] maisimai.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Those odd places are what really make you feel old. Or so I have been told ;) You've already owned a Ducati right? Not the same Stereotype if you have....

[identity profile] kickaha.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought your nightmares involved coeds in big boots?

Oh *damn*, sorry, got those confused again... ;)

Thanks mon!

[identity profile] kickaha.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks! I'd hit you up for a Five Guys run, but... :)

[identity profile] kickaha.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you... I'll catch up one day yet! *shakes fists*

[identity profile] kickaha.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 05:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I did, but it was stolen with 83 miles on it. I don't think that really *counts*... it was more like a big biketease. :P

[identity profile] badger.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 05:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Only if _Futurama_ comes true, *and* I'm Fry. And in any given group of people being allocated to Futurama characters, I'm not Fry. So a) you're welcome, and b) not going to happen.

[identity profile] margarita-5.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 05:22 pm (UTC)(link)
You're an outraaaaaaaaageous tease! (and I love ya for it)

[identity profile] georgmi.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Does a birthday greeting count if it was fished for?

Fröhlichen Geburtstag, Geck.

[identity profile] kickaha.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 05:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Does a birthday greeting count if it was fished for?

Certainly! It's only a gaffe if you *don't* take the bait. :D

[identity profile] ginkgo.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 05:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually, I think it was between the 17th and 18th times you woke up today. Bob has slept peacefully ever since you left. :P

[identity profile] georgmi.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
You, sir, are a master of ba--No, that would be too obvious, wouldn't it?

[identity profile] georgmi.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 05:51 pm (UTC)(link)
PS-I like the "gaffe-bait" pun, was it intentional?

[identity profile] kickaha.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
It wasn't until I saw it in type, and then decided to applaud my subconscious. :)

Happy Birthday to you! It means it's all downhill from here. Next stop: senior discount!

[identity profile] georgmi.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, do you guys follow baseball much? With Shea and Yankee Stadia coming down in the next couple of years, M. and I are seriously considering a weekend trip to NY and catch a game in each before they're gone, maybe next summer.

One of the best pranks my brother and I have pulled is putting my mother on the AARP mailing lists. She. HATES. It.

We, of course, make sure that no matter how many times she asks to be removed, she ends up back on it. :)

[identity profile] kickaha.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm, not so much a fan of the game, but I've been known to go to a ballpark for a nice afternoon with a game as a backdrop... :)

But if you make it up this way, and we're still here, getting together would have to be on the agenda.

[identity profile] code-slave.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Happy Birthday, Youngster!
:-)

I'm awfully glad you are around. You've made my life so much better, i'll tellya! (meant to tell you a few weeks ago, but better late than never?)

I recently got something from the AARP... listing my birthday as August 1941. Did YOUUUUUUUU have anything to do with that?

Live long, and prosper, Dude!
:-)

So if the average lifespan of a male is 72 years, and today I turn 36, does that mean I'm officially middle-aged?

Only if you consider yourself average.

[identity profile] georgmi.livejournal.com 2006-09-12 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Believe me, all the M's games I've been to this season (and last) have been on the order of "a nice afternoon with a game as a backdrop".

We would likely want to go to games that didn't feature the M's, Red Sox, or Cardinals, so we could avoid bringing the wrath of the New York Fans (tm) down on our heads by being obviously opposed to the NYF's viewpoints, which makes the game-as-backdrop concept all the more appealing.

We will let you know if we ever get some plans worked out.

Gee, and I thought *I* was gettin' old.

Would you like the walker I've decided I don't need?

Oh, and happy birthday! We virgos rule!
